Our people

Emeline Bacot

I have always wanted help people in anyway I can. When I was in high school I discovered Chiropractic and I instantly knew that it was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. After 6 years I graduated from the Franco-European Institut of Chiropractic and I have been decided to go to UK for working and discover a new culture and new language. Now I need to complete my English competency test to be registered by the General Chiropractic Council and be called a Chiropractor in this country.

Over the past two years, I have completed a clinical internship, trained in Applied Kinesiology and Paediatrics to improve my practice and care for people of all ages.I have also undertaken an humanitarian chiropractic mission in Africa to care people in need. It was very difficult and emotional and it allowed me to improve my practice and reflect on the important things.

Why did I choose chiropractic? Because it is a profession that looks at the whole body, treat the cause and not just the symptom. I like go through the complete diagnosis and history of patients to better understand what is going on and therefore provide better treatment.

I also find it interesting to be able to go further by giving lifestyle advice and rehabilitation exercises so that the patient stays healthy for life. For me, good health starts at the beginning of the life, which is why I would like to specialise in pregnant women and paediatrics. In my spare time I enjoy outdoor activities, travelling, spending time with my friends and just enjoying life.I really believe that chiropractic can help people and allow them to enjoy their life in a healthy way.

Dr Robert Finn BSc (Hons) BSc Dc (Doctor of Chiropractic)

I qualified as a chiropractor over 24 years ago from the Anglo European College of Chiropractors (which is the oldest and largest chiropractic college in Europe). I am passionate about chiropractic and helping my patients reach their health goals.

I have undertaken hundreds of hours of extra studies to enhance my skills and at present I am studying neurology to gain a greater and deeper understanding of how the brain and nervous system can affect our bodies and pain. I am therefore able to treat more complicated cases that relate to pain.In my spare time I enjoy studying (!!!) , reading, tennis and walking. I also appreciate the occasional, delicious glass of red wine and dark chocolate!

Maggie Burrows

I have lived in the Stoke/Newcastle area for most of my adult life. Previously working in the property and legal sector but always had a keen interest in fitness and health, particularly in natural remedies.

In October 2016, I will have worked in the Newcastle clinic for 11 years which seems to have absolutely flown by. It was a friend of mine who noticed the vacancy and said “I have seen the perfect job for you”. I consider myself very lucky to be involved in being part of helping change people’s lives for the better and watching them return to health and fitness. There have been many changes here (progress I think it is called) and many more to come as we strive to improve on all levels.

There are lots of elements of my job which I really enjoy, particularly meeting all the different people and it’s great to get to know them and share their highs and lows as friendships are forged as well as on a professional level.

In my spare time I enjoy travelling, walking, music and dancing, reading mostly detective novels, visiting stately homes, the odd glass of wine and of course chocolate. I’m trying to cultivate a liking for dark chocolate as it is more healthy for you (work in progress).

Ann

My Name is Ann, I work as a Chiropractic Assistant in both the Newcastle Clinic and Stoke Clinic. I have worked at the Clinics for just over one year and find it very rewarding. I have previously worked for BT and a dental practice.

In my spare time I like to read (when possible), walk and try my hand at new recipes. They are not all successful, however I have a great family who always make out that they are very enjoyable!!!

Dr Etienne Dupont BSc. DC (Doctor of Chiropractic)

I have been interested in complementary healthcare from an early age having grown up in a family where it was widely used. This fostered an interest in manipulative therapy and specifically Chiropractic care. I graduated from the prestigious Franco-European Institute of Chiropractic in 2013 and have worked at the Newcastle and Stoke clinics since then.

My main focus is on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system. My aim is to tailor treatment, advice and rehabilitation to the individual patients’ goal and needs. I am also passionate about using these skills to help patients of all ages and background to have a better understanding and control over existing or chronic injury and to improve posture and joint function to prevent injury and optimise musculoskeletal function.

I thoroughly enjoy my work with athletes from many sports including golf, tennis, rugby, cycling, volleyball. In addition to this, I have a lot of experience and understanding of Equestrian activities and the biomechanics of horse and rider which can help improve a rider’s seat, posture and comfort whilst riding by evaluating and correcting any musculoskeletal imbalances.

I truly believe chiropractic can decrease people’s pain levels whilst improving function and wellbeing. I look forward to meeting you at Newcastle Chiropractic Clinic and City Chiropractic Clinic!

Ne’ema Bowen LLB (Hons)

I have worked as a practice manager at both clinics for quite a few years whilst also working as a commercial litigation and construction lawyer. Whilst in the last year I have not undertaken any legal work, I love dealing with complex problems and working through problems and finding solutions.

It is important that clinics run well whilst at the same time having a very personal and welcoming approach to each and every individual patient.

I work part-time and look after my two lovely daughters. In my spare time (is there such a thing?) I love walking, gardening, cooking, exercising and entertaining - I love a good social occasion at home with friends and family!
